Learn to manage basic scuba diving equipment repairs and adjustments. Understand routine care and maintenance procedures and how dive gear works.
Do not miss a dive because of minor issues with scuba diving equipment. Whether it is a missing o-ring, has a wetsuit tear or a broken fin strap, the PADI Equipment Specialist course teaches students to manage basic repairs and adjustments.
Students who are at least 10 years old and certified as a PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver or higher, may enroll in the Equipment Specialist course.
Students will also learn more about how gear works, making a diver more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of this important investment.
Academic
Students will learn routine care and maintenance procedures as well as scuba equipment storage recommendations. The instructor will show students how to overcome some common equipment problems and offer equipment configuration suggestions.
Students may even get to jump into the water to try new or unfamiliar equipment.
Equipment
The PADI Instructor may ask students to bring basic scuba equipment to class, but will also have examples of other dive gear available during training.
